port issue while uploading site

port issue while uploading site

Redid my site after reinstalling fp. on upload, this warning stopped all..."500 Illegal PORT command/ 500 LRPT not understood" and that's the problem here, not understood. translation? suggestions?

Are you using FTP to upload site? if so try enabling PASV (passive) mode on the upload screen options.
If that does not work, disable any firewalls.

See if any of that helps.

I did not intend to upload with ftp, but with front page extensions. The default seems to be the site with ftp. in front of the address. How do I change that to the standard fp (with extensions) upload.?
