IMAGE NOT SHOWING UP

I inserted an image (.jpg) onto my home page. I could not get the image to show up in IE or Firefox. I then removed the image from my home page. I still have an outline of an image (or lack there of) on my home page after I removed it. All advice is welcome!

RE: IMAGE NOT SHOWING UP (in reply to lemonhead13

you still have the code for the image there
<img border="0" src="images/SICK-PC.jpg" width="211" height="250">

incidentally your logo is the wrong size and it should be a gif (or 8-bit png)

also when you name images avoid using UPPERCASE and spaces in filenames. use this convention instead

rds-logo.jpg

;)

oh and if i may also mention, hit counters are not professional looking in any way and instantly date your site to the 90s :)

heck while i'm at it i might as well mention that underlining text that isn't a link is bad, and using a lot of CAPS makes for tiring reading. Shall i mentin that using tables for layout is frowned upon too? or are you tired of me now ;)

I hope my suggestions can make your site better :)

RE: IMAGE NOT SHOWING UP (in reply to lemonhead13

You code calls for the file RDS LOGO-1 copy.jpg in the folder images/ however that file is not there available on the web.

As dave says, it helps to use all lowercase and no spaces in your file names. Linux web servers are case-sensitive. So consider renaming the file as rds-logo-1, reinserting into the page, and republishing.
