'Error reading file.'

I'm new to FrontPage. I'm using another application that generates a report, and one of the outputs choices is html. The report looks great when I open it with a browser, but there are some links in it that I would like to edit out using FrontPage. When I try to open this file, which is named simply report.html, in FrontPage, a dialog box pops up stating, "Error reading file."

I have no idea what to do. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

I am able to open this file in Word and remove the links. I'm still wondering why FrontPage won't open it.

You might try validating the page code using one of the free online validators. Maybe there are some malformed tags that are preventing FrontPage from parsing it. http://validator.w3.org/
