Guppy Guy -> Password Problem (8/6/2008 6:08:08 PM)

I am the web master for a site that has a members only section where we change the password using Frontpage every month. One of the other members is taking over the password duties and she bought FrontPage 2003 which is what I use for the web and haveused. When she gets top the members only section and goes to Tools, slide down to server, slide over to change password it gives her an error message saying she needs a web browser such as Internet Explorer, which she already has and it is the default. The only thing I can see different is operating systems mine is XP and hers is VISTA. What could be wrong?

Is she a member with administrator rights?

Is sounds like she's trying to change the administrator password for the subweb. Do all of the members use the administrator signin?

Typically she would use Tools... Server... Administration... then create or change a user with browsing rights only.

Might try opening the subweb by browsing with IE to the subweb page, signing in as administrator then choosing the IE File menu and Edit with FrontPage.

Maybe someone else knows more...
