daffydoesfp -> Can't publish- FP2002 and IE7 not connecting (7/24/2008 1:57:49 PM)

I have Vista, Home Premium with IE7 and FP2002and FP extensions. I am managing 2 websites for my daughters and have been publishing fine for several years until a week ago. I published on 6/18 with no problem, however now every time I try to publish, FP and IE7 do not connect to send to the server. I have tried publishing from the folders, from the top menu and from the publish icon...all same..does not initiate IE7 for transmit. I reinstalled FP, still no luck, I uninstalled all Windows update after 6/18..still no luck. FP tries to publish but eventually times out because it does not see the server. Before I try to go back to a restore point before 6/18, I thought I would see if anyone else has had a similar problem or anyone has some other suggestions on a fix. I checked and the default browser is set for IE7. I have considered reinstalling IE7 but sounds messy on Microsoft site. Ideas?
