Good morning all!

I have recently installed FrontPage extensions on my server so I can begin working with dynamic content with FP, though this is entirely new territory for me. This has caused some issues that I can not understand.

Since I installed the extensions, my host has advised me to publish my site using FP rather than an FTP client. The host said something about connecting through an FTP client can corrupt the extensions and I am better off to do all the work in FP.

I took his advice and basically started from scratch. Once I uploaded my files from FP, the only thing I see on my page is text! No graphics, no buttons, nothing but the text. How can I troubleshoot this?

Without seeing the page it is hard to tell what is going on but my guess is 1. you have asp code on a page and have it named .htm or 2. you have entered code into the page view of the editor instead of the code view. This will display the code as text.

The site is at www.cfrtech.com

Thanks for the input, but I'd like to clarify:

I have no intention of using .ASP, when I get into the dynamic content I plan on using PHP. However, I haven't gotten that far so I don't believe that is the issue.

Thanks in advance for your help in figuring this out, I'm just stumped as to the most efficient way to accomplish what I want here, to have the site up and running until I can start understanding the dynamic aspect a little more thoroughly- I am very new to dynamic web programming.

OK--Front Page doesn't support PHP well...that is the coding language for a linux server. FrontPage and ASP are for Microsoft servers although on a linux server one can install a third party ASP parser.
You need to upload your graphic and don't use underlines on a web page unless it's a link.
It looks like you have a theme installed but it isn't visible--that indicates your FP extensions aren't working or you used ftp to upload the site rather than http.
