You are not re-directing the traffic - you are directing the traffic to your store or main website.

You build the content rich, keyword specific pages on your SBI site following the SBI process. It is these content rich pages and their interactions that will provide good search engine placements.

Now, at this point you have two options - you can either direct people to another site where they can purchase the products or you can put the "buy now" or "add to cart" link right on the pages -- and it's only those links which jump from your SBI site.

For example - I run http://www.123webtemplatesandmore.com. It uses a database that is incompatible with SBI and I use a different shopping cart too (www.automatesales.com). If I wanted to use SBI - I would create a separate URL specific to keywords around website templates (following the SBI process, of course). I would provide information and tips on those pages on picking website templates, using them, review of sites, anything I can think of. Then I would recommend http://www.123webtemplatesandmore.com.

Or - I could do a slightly different route and create an SBI site like 123-web-templates-and-more.com (similar to the real domain, just added the dashes) and I would still create the content in the same way, but I would do the "purchase now" links that would go directly to my http://www.123webtemplatesandmore.com site and/or the actual www.automatesales.com purchase link.

Does this make sense?

Greetings:

I have an SBI site that I just recently put up. I am thinking about trying to do it with FP and so far this board has been very informative (and this is just my first day here!).

One of the processes that I find EXTREMELY frustrating with SBI is the uploading of images. One at a time to upload, one at a time to remove (not even able to edit a name without first downloading then uploading again). Anyway, since there is a folder specifically for images when using the HTML module, does this mean that I will be able to upload "enmass"? And will my images still appear in the Upload Images area of the SBI builder (for linking/insertion on page if needed) or will I access them (and other links, such as those in the Link building area) some other way?

Also, what are your suggestions for updating local FP pages with updates that were made locally to SBI pages?

Can everything else still be used (MailOut, Forms, etc) with FP pages?

Thanks for the help, in advance. I'll probably have more questions--I'm like that ya know![:D]

Linda

Unfotunately the only way to load the images is one at a time. The good news is that you do only need to do this once, so for many templates it's a one-time process. If you do have images which change often, yes, this will be a pain.

If you go the route of "HTML Upload" feature, my best suggestion is to do all your edits locally with FP then upload the pages to SBI. There really isn't any way to go the other direction.

Ah - good question! I've always used a different system for my mailings and forms... I don't really know (but you can imagine that yes, it's possible). When you get to that point, send SBI support the question on how to do that. And don't forget to let us know how it works!

Hello:
I am experiencing a problem with my FP template for SiteSell. For some reason the template has shrunk. Where before the template would cover the page completely, it now has a border around it. This occurred after my deleting a few pages from that web I was not planning on using.

Any ideas where I can go to get help for this, or other suggestions?

Thanks for your time.

Paul,

Can you explain how to make the Submit button work on Contact Us page on one of your templates that my friend purchased from you and I am trying to help him.

Thanks
