Some Border Components Not showing   Logged in as: Guest   Printable Version All Forums >>FrontPage Specific Issues >>FrontPage Newbies >> Page: [1] Name: Message << Newer Topic  Older Topic >> MLSM   Posts: 1 Member since: 11/9/2008   Some Border Components Not showing  Hello all, Am teaching myself FrontPage & am trying to create a shared border.I created it in another program & imported it as a pic (both gif & jpg) but it lost some detail in the transition. So I decided to create it on the actual Border "Top.htm". It looks beautiful but in order to put the graphics & text in proper relation to each other I used layers. However, when I save & switch to my webpages, the graphics that are included in my shared border show in their proper spots but the letters & lines do not show at all...merely blank spaces. I apologize in advance if my question is tedious. I've gone through the tutorials & am missing what I'm doing that makes some components on the _borders/top.htm show & others not. I don't have anything ready to publish so I can only attempt a verbal explanation. It's no longer supported. Look into using Page Includes which comes with FrontPage. On that note, the latest Front Page is 2003. Going on 6 years old and has quite a bit of outdated codes and extensions that will no longer work or will be problematic. So what to do? 1. You can learn html and css so you can understand the codes thus helping you correct the bad code that FP produces. or 2. Upgrade to MS Expression Web (about $90) which is much better with codes but it still helps to learn html and css so you can keep your codes in good order. or 3. Learn html and css and code your pages using Notepad. _____________________________ I'm going to do it myself! Can you help me??
