Form submit won't send to email

Problem with emailing form results upon submit. Example form:
http://isidenver.org/du/TestForm1.htm

These two forms are my real forms. I currently have them set to save results, and not email results.
http://isidenver.org/du/event_signup.htm
http://isidenver.org/du/friendship_app.htm

Form results are saved to file in _private, and emailed. "Suddenly", I can no longer email the results. The save to file continues to work, IF I remove the email option. Can't do both, and can't do only email. The forms have been in place for months, and have been emailing submissions all along.

The error upon form submit:
FrontPage Error.
User: please report details to this site's webmaster.
Webmaster: please see the server's application event log for more details.

The site is hosted at godaddy.
From managing my godaddy account, I have uninstalled FrontPage extensions, then installed. Also have tried reinstalling extensions.

I created a new form page with the wizard, same problem.
http://isidenver.org/du/TestForm1.htm

I see this Microsoft article: 380242, but not sure what specific action I can take.

I am using FP 2003 (11.8164.8221) SP3

I seem to remember that GoDaddy may allow you to set the "from" email address in the hosting control panel. If so, check it for validity as suggested in the article.

"Webmaster: please see the server's application event log for more details"
Have you actually checked the server's application event log?? If not see if you can locate it or ask your host to tell you where it is or check it for you.

Did you search godaddy site FAQ .. check out this link

A url to "I see this Microsoft article: 380242" would be helpful so we can see what it advises.

I have had that error message before. First was Extensions. They were installed but corrupted.
The second time was becuase the _private folder was missing. It just did not exist. Now you cannot create it yourself it has to be created by FP. But you say the results are being sent, so you obviously have the FP created _private folder opposed to one created by yourself.

You might also go to Tools - Recalculate Hyperlinks if FPSE were removed from the server. And I think you need to publish to http://www.example.com

Thank you all for the suggestions. I will investigate them.
I have recalculated hyperlinks several times prior to my post (I failed to state that).

In my original post I referred to a Microsoft article, without the URL.
Here are two MS articles I find:

The one to which I referred in my origianl post:
Error message when you send e-mail from a form Article 308242
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308242

And a related one, but states it pertains to FP2K
FrontPage Error Submitting Save Results Form Article 201799
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB%3BEN-US%3BQ201799&LN=EN-US&SD=gn&FR=0&qry=please+see+the+server%27s+application+event+log+for+more+details&rnk=1&src=DHCS_MSPSS_gn_SRCH&SPR=FP2KSE

Usually that KB is assuming you have a bit more control on your server. Removing FPSE usually will cause other problems if the hosting company does not look at your website and remove the _vti folders. If those folders are not removed and FPSE are re-installed, the error might still be there.

And I think GoDaddy Frontpage publishing requires you to use the www.

I will try removing the FPSE again, but this time make sure _vti folder is removed. And then installing FPSE again.

Reading those Microsoft links ... one it says to check the server log, which is what your error message tells you to do and which has already been suggested to you ...

have you checked that yet?? Chances are it will tell you what is wrong !

The other link says the email is not valid. Well you said the email used to work, so if you have not changed it, then one must assume it is still valid and so that explanation does not apply to you.

Problem remains.
09.28 I have uninstalled FPSE. Then through FTP verified the _vti folder, in fact the _private folder also, were gone. Installed FPSE. Same original error from original post.

Can the FPSE on the server I happen to be on at godaddy be at fault? Something for which unstalling FPSE and then installing them would not resolve?

NEW, ADDITIONAL QUESTION: I am working with three forms I use on this site. When I look at the properties page for each file which has a form, all three have the same value for Form name. Is that okay? Seems that would confuse the form handler. I tried to give each a unique form name. I changed the form name on form properties, then saved the file. The change would not save. When I close and reopen the file with the form in it, the value for form name reverts to FrontPage_Form1.

Right click in form area of page containing the form.
Form Properties
Form properties section
Form name: FrontPage_Form1
Change to unique form name - e.g. FrontPage_Form_Airport, and save the file.

RE: Form submit won't send to email (in reply to RackoWacko

It sounds like there is a problem with Godaddy and the way they have the FPSE installed on the server.

Do you get an error message if you have the form sent to a GMail / Yahoo / Hotmail account? When FPSE are first installed on the server, a few things need to be set up and they cannot be changed by the website owner - only by the server admin.

GoDaddy has a history of problems with email / hosting / FPSE and it is not good.

Create a new form with just one input (and no validation). Have it sent to your email address. Now publish to http://www.example.com. If possible, show us the link. Otherwise, are you on a Windows server and can you support JMail on the server?

Is it okay to use the Form Page Wizard for this exercise? I will post again when I have published to example.com

Excuse my ignorance. I have not used example.com before. Do I publish as I do to any FrontPage server? I receive an error Unable to open "http://www.example.com. Server error: The Web server at "http://www.example.com" does not appear to have Windows SharePoint Services installed. etc.

Replace the example.com with your domain name. I always use http://www.example.com when I mean your domain name. RFC 2606

".example" is recommended for use in documentation or as examples

RE: Form submit won't send to email (in reply to RackoWacko

And you are publishing to http://www.example.com and not http://example.com?

If so, GoDaddy needs to take a look at it since there is probably something on their side. And of course what platform are you hosting on (Windows / *NIX, etc)? If Windows, can you use JMail to process the form?

And also what about using an email address on your domain, rackowacko@example.com? I think I remembered somewhere where GoDaddy required that you use an email address related to your domain name.

RE: Form submit won't send to email (in reply to RackoWacko

Thank you all for the input and support. My forms are working again, as of Monday morning. I do not know specifically what was wrong, and do not know why they are working again. godaddy never identified any problem.

But I did learn through your help. It was very encouraging to receive your help as I tried to get forms working again.

I was NOT publishing to http://www.example.com, but http://example.com

When emailing form results, I was using a gmail account. Although this had worked for months and months, I followed Corey's suggestion and changed to username@example.com.

As information, for my GoDaddy sites, I MUST publish to http://www.mydomain.com, not http://mydomain.com.
