Could I publish using other computer?

Whenever I update my website, I'll publish via my own computer. Now, I'm away from home, I wish to publish using my friend computer. How do I go about it? Please advise, TQ

If you are publishing from your computer to the web server using FrontPage HTTP publishing (using the FrontPage extensions), it seems your friend would need to have the source files as well as the FrontPage program itself on his/her computer. Is that the scenario you're using?

Thanks for your reply, Rick_E. However, I just wish to relate to you what I'm going to do to see if that's the right way. First, I'll make a copy of the folder of my website from my computer to my pen drive. I'll then install it into my friend C drive. From there, I just publish to my web server. Will frontpage treat the whole folder as new files or it'll read only the changes only

Sorry I don't know the answer to that but you could always select individual files, right-click and choose Publish Selected Files.

When copying to the flash drive, drag the folder to the drive, not the individual files. This assures you will get all of the files including any hidden files. Similarly, copy the folder onto your friend's drive, not individual files.

No... You must publish the website to your pen drive. If you copy you will lose important FrontPage information. So publish to pen drive, and publish to computer, and publish to live website. It will not view anything as changes as it will all be new as you will not have worked on that published copy of FP before. When you publish you will probably get question marks next to files with the comment "files in conflict" so you need to publish all pages not just changed only.

However if your live site is up to date, then all you need to do is on the other computer open up your live site with FrontPage and publish a copy of it back to puter, no need for pen drive etc.

Yes, Malcolm's idea is better. Open the web and publish from one place to the other.

you should have any ftp uploader. in that ftp uploader just put your host ip address and password then you will be able to log in your site host server. you can do that.
