"_derived" folder?

I have a folder which has shown up in my remote site folder listing. It is called _derived. Inside the folder is a file called "nortbots.htm." I believe it appeared when I installed a discussion page on my site. Can anybody clue me in as to what this folder/file is about and how I can get rid of it. If possible, could you please communicate in as simplistic terms as is reasonable. Otherwise, I will not comprehend. Thank-you!

Hi
Any folders that are preceded with an underscore are folders created by FrontPage.
FrontPage NEEDS those folders, that is how it communicates with the website and also enables some of the components to work. The _derived/norbots.htm is connected with Extensions and Forms - as your discussion page is based on forms that was probably when it was created.

So do NOT delete that folder or its content or yo may find your website does not work properly any more. The file space taken up by those folders is negligible.
